
You could live your whole life and never hear proper American Piedmont blues played this way. But then why would you want to do that?
Frank Schaap has played with just about everybody worth listening to. But he's a modest kinda guy and lets his guitar do most of the talking. When we saw him at the Bar Des Oiseaux last Saturday he had played 20 nights without a break and still did stunning versions of Mr Bo Jangles, Two Sleepy People and the timeless Biscuit Blues (it's on his website - the link's below).
Frank lives in Nice in the South of France right now although rumour is he's moving to Berlin. Either way he's also playing dates in the UK and Europe this summer. So keep an eye out.
